Our Privacy Policy

You can visit most of the pages on LAMPS PLUS without ever telling us who you are, as we do not ask users to register or establish an account with us in order to browse our site. We may track the Internet domain address from which people visit us and look at this data for user trends and statistics, but individual site visitors remain anonymous, unless, at some point, you tell us who you are.

However, when you use our online services like joining our e-mail list, entering a sweepstakes, or purchasing a product from us online, you agree to tell us something about yourself.

When you enter a sweepstakes or purchase from us you are asked for your e-mail address, name and zip code. You may also be asked for a street address and other information. When placing an order on our site, we ask you for contact information like name and shipping address, and payment information like credit card number, expiration date, and customer card identification number. Without providing information like this you will be unable to order products on our site or use certain online services.

We use the personal information that you provide about yourself for a number of internal purposes, such as confirming your order and maintaining a record of your online product purchases. We also use your personal information to provide you with certain benefits if you enroll in our LAMPS PLUS Rewards program, and to send you catalogs and information about special promotions. In addition, we may use your personal information to contact you if we have trouble processing your order.

We also may combine the information you give us online, in our stores, or through our catalogs, including personal information about you and your order. We use that combined information to enhance and personalize your online shopping experience with us, to communicate with you both on and offline about our products and events that may be of interest to you.

We do not sell, rent or share e-mail addresses with any third parties except select business partners. We do not share the credit card information you provide to us with anyone other than your credit card provider. However, other information about you may be combined with publicly available information, as well as information we receive from reputable companies we have selected to analyze the data we collect.

When you leave a product review on our site, the information you provide about yourself, including your e-mail address, is collected for us by a third party vendor. Customer comments are reviewed both by our third party vendor and by LAMPS PLUS. Any personal information collected in the product review process, including e-mail addresses, is covered by our LAMPS PLUS privacy policy as outlined here and by our Terms of Use policy. Reviews are posted on LampsPlus.com at our discretion. When a product review is submitted on this web site, you grant LAMPS PLUS and its affiliates a nonexclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content throughout the world in any media.

This policy covers information collected on visitors to the LampsPlusOpenBox.com site through the process of ordering products, joining our e-mail lists, submitting product reviews and using our online services, as well as information collected through LAMPS PLUS retail stores.

We do reserve the right to disclose your personal information when we have reason to believe that it is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against persons or entities that may be causing injury to you, LAMPS PLUS, or to others. At LAMPS PLUS, we understand your concerns about security and privacy. We protect the sensitive information you give us, such as credit card numbers, by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts the information you share with us. This process makes it statistically much safer to shop with us than to use your card in a restaurant or store. Fraudulent Charge Protection

LAMPS PLUS offers a "Safe Shopping Guarantee." If a third party obtains your personal information from a purchase made with Lamps Plus Open Box Outlet Site and uses that information to perpetrate credit card fraud, you are protected. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your bank may hold you liable for up to $50 of fraudulent charges. If your bank holds you liable for any portion of the $50, LAMPS PLUS will cover up to the entire $50.

LAMPS PLUS will cover this liability if the unauthorized use resulted through no fault of yours from a purchase made on the Lamps Plus Open Box Outlet Site secure server. In the event of unauthorized use of your credit card, you must notify your credit card company in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.

Opting Out of Our E-mail List

If you purchase something from us, we may occasionally send you a printed LAMPS PLUS catalog through the mail. If you prefer not to receive our catalog, cancel at any time by e-mailing us at catalogservice@LampsPlus.com with "remove" as the subject line and your name and address in the body of the message, or you may call 1-800-782-1967. Your name will be removed from our mailing list within two weeks of your request. Due to the nature of catalog mailing preparation, however, you may receive mailed catalogs up to 90 days after your request.

If your order fails to meet your expectations, you can return your merchandise - no questions asked! We offer a free one-year extended warranty on all products purchased from us and will gladly replace any defective item free of charge. We never charge a re-stocking or re-packaging fee, but there is a $50 charge for returned items that have been installed and have cut wires or loose crystal.

If there is a problem with your order, please call us immediately so that we can resolve it for you quickly. Full refunds, minus shipping fees, will be issued if your merchandise is returned to us in its original condition within 60 days. Credit card orders will receive refunds in the form of a credit to the card used to make the purchase.

Payment Methods

We currently accept Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express® and Discover® credit cards. Simply enter your credit card information in our secure shopping card at checkout. Your credit card will be billed for your order total when your order ships. Charges will appear as "Universal Distributing L.L.C." on your credit card statement. All online orders are 100% guaranteed. We do not accept checks, debit payments or other types of payments at this time.

Using a Promo Code

If you have a money off promotional code from us, simply enter the code number in the appropriate box in your shopping cart. Your cart will automatically update with the proper discount. Tracking Your Order

Your order confirmation e-mail contains an order number you can use to track your shipment on our site. Please allow 24-hours from the time of your order for the status to begin updating. We will ship with FedEx ground unless it is otherwise specified or requested. If shipped per FedEx then your shipping confirmation e-mail will contain a FedEx shipping tracking number. You can visit FedEx.com to track your order. Again, it may take up to 24 hours for the status of your order on the site to begin updating. If you have any questions please contact us.

Back Ordered Items

We stock thousands of items in our warehouse, but we occasionally experience an unexpected demand for a product and run out of stock. We may also occasionally experience delays in fulfilling an order from one of our suppliers. When this happens, we'll notify you as quickly as possible and offer options on how to complete your order to your satisfaction.

Canceling an Order

If you need to cancel part or all of your order, we'll be happy to do so, but we cannot guarantee an order may not have already shipped. Many items ship in one or two days, either from our warehouse or from our suppliers, so please contact us as soon as possible with your request. Cancellations are not guaranteed until you receive an email confirming cancellation.

International Shipping

A minimum value of $200 applies to all international orders. In addition, the total must be paid by wire transfer with the exception of: Puerto Rico, Canada, US Virgin Islands, American Samoa, FPO and APO addresses.

All sales on international orders are final.

In order to make an international shipping order, please go online and place an order. You will then be contacted via e-mail by a customer service representative with a personalized shipping quote. Upon approval of related shipping charges, we will contact you via e-mail with the wire transfer information. Please note that we are not responsible for any fees or related charges incurred with the transfer.

You should receive a quote for shipping charges outside of the U.S. via e-mail within 2 business days of your order. Shipping quotes do not include customs charges, duties, dock fees, brokerage fees or any other internationally related charges.

Please note that our free shipping policy applies only to shipments within the US states.

Freight Shipping

Some of our items are heavy and/or oversized, and cannot be shipped via standard ground delivery.

Packing Materials

We have discontinued the use of the old petroleum-based packing peanuts. Whenever possible we now use packing materials made out of eco-friendly, 100 percent biodegradable starch pellets. These break down quickly in landfills, are static free, and contain no CFCs or HCFCs.

Returns

Our Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your order, you may return it within 60 days.

You must receive a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) from us prior to return shipping your item. Please follow the instructions below.

Returns should be shipped in the original packing. There is no re-stocking fee on returned items, but return shipping charges are non-refundable and there is a $50 fee for returned items with cut wires or loose crystal.

Making a Return

To begin your return process, please contact a customer service representative. You may call
1-877-233-7094, e-mail CustomerService@LampsPlusOpenBox.com or use our online live chat. Customer service hours are Monday thru Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm (Pacific Time).

We will issue you a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization). Write this number on the pre-printed address label on the return form included with your boxed order. Affix the address label to the outside of your return package. Returns made without the RMA will not be accepted.

Complete the returns form, pack it in with your order, and send your return by FedEx , UPS, or USPS making sure to obtain a tracking number.

To insure proper handling of your return package, please e-mail us your tracking number. You can send us your tracking number and the ship date by responding to the return request email that contained your RMA number or by e-mailing CustomerService@lampsplusopenbox.com.

Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the items are defective and require replacement. See below for our replacement policy.

Freight Returns

Freight returns do not go through UPS or FedEx, and must be handled by the bulk freight company that delivered the item to you. Please contact us for assistance. A $99 pick-up fee for freight returns will be deducted from your return once the credit is processed.

Getting a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization)

You must receive a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) from us prior to return shipping your item. Items received by us without a RMA tracking number cannot be accepted. Please contact us and we'll be happy to provide a RMA and assist you with the return process.

Our Replacement Policy

We take pride in the construction and the packaging of our products. However, in the event that harm occurs in transit, or if you discover defects in the manufacture of a product, please contact us within 60 days for a replacement item.

A customer service associate will provide you a Return Merchandise Authorization and instructions on how to ship the damaged product back to us.

*Please note that replacement returns made without a RMA will not be accepted.

Write the Return Merchandise Authorization on the pre-printed return address form included with your boxed order. Complete the returns form, then pack it with your order and affix the address sticker to the outside of the box. If possible, also include a copy of your e-mailed invoice in your return box.

After your call, we will ship you a new replacement product and charge you for the product and shipping. You will be issued a refund on your original merchandise and shipping after we receive and inspect your returned product.
